Infrastructure and Transport

The development of efficient common transportation networks is one of the most important objectives of EU transport policy. Mid Sweden European Office monitors the transport and infrastructure policy of the EU in the framework of Europaforum Norra Sverige. Mid Sweden European Office monitors political decisions and assists with lobby processes for important transport routes in both north/south and east/west direction in the region. Mid Sweden European Office also monitors transnational programs.

During 2011 the EU white paper on sustainable future transportation will be published and the revision of the TEN-T Guidelines will be dealt with. Mid Sweden European Office and the responsible authorities work together with the rest of northern Sweden and Finland to promote the Bothnian corridor as part of the TEN-T Core Network.
